Beef Stroganoff
2 pounds Top Round Beef, cut into thin strips
4 Tbsp. Shortening
2 Onions, chopped
½ tsp. Garlic Powder or 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
2 cans Cream of Chicken Soup
¾ cup Sour Cream
2 small cans Mushrooms (not drained)
Brown beef slowly in shortening, add all ingredients except the sour cream and cook slowly until the beef is tender (approximately 1 hour). Stir in the sour cream just before serving.
